International collaboration

TEMPUS project „Master programs in Public Health and Social Services”, 2010-2013, in which the Epidemiology department and other specialized departments participated in the elaboration of a new curriculum for postgraduate study for Public Health graduates. This curriculum has been implemented in November 2012. According to the new program Epidemiology Department has elaborated and implemented the following modules:

  1. „Basics of epidemiological surveillance of communicable and noncommunicable diseases”;
  2. „Elaboration and management of research and development projects”;
  3. „Health promotion and health education”;
  4. „Risk management and public health emergencies”;
  5. „Surveillance and control of communicable diseases”.

The department maintains partnerships with: University of Cumbria, Lancaster, UK; KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm, Sweden; Babes-Bolyai University, Cluj Napoca, Romania, University of Georgia, Tbilisi, Georgia.
